Hari Raya Haji

I'm a very family-oriented person. And Hari Raya has always been @ home. But like last year, i'm celebrating Hari Raya Haji here in KL. Not because i dont want to go back; but there's just too many things happening and i was @ home last week for my sister's engagement.

I couldnt help but feeling a lil sad, just being here in KL. Most of the shops around my house are closed. I'm depending on Dominos, KFC & McD.

But... This Hari Raya Haji has been great!

Me, Fedo & Azli were watching DVDs the whole night and slept around 4am. I woke up pretty early and forced the other two to get ready. Breakfast was only drinks from 7-11 (every freaking restaurant was closed!).

I made them dressed up in the traditional baju melayu and we went visiting. First stop was Fedo's house. Her mum's cook was really good as always. From there, we headed to Izwan's house. There we had more food.

Next stop was Azli's house. More food! I went home earlier and the group went to visit few celeb's house. I had a date with my darlin Zaff & Opie (they brought McD). We hang out for about 2 hours. Discussed about the wedding and stuff.

10 mins after they left, Izwan, Azli & Fedo came. And an hour later, Yanie, her super cute baby, Ayu and Puteri came.

Note: I wanrned everyone that my place have no food!

We hang out for quite a while and around 11pm, everyone was getting hungry again so we went to Oldtown.

It's a great Hari Raya. There was nothing elaborate like @ home but having good friends around on this day is equally special. Alhamdulillah.

My sister's engagement

I've been meaning to blog about this since Saturday but just didnt have the time. I've been really busy. I have like a million things happening.. But so far so good.

Anyway, my sister got engaged last weekend. It was held in Alor Setar. The ceremony went pretty well. It was a great oppurtunity to meet up with my cousins and relatives.

Azmir's Convo

My little brother, Azmir completed his Diploma in MAss Communication. It was quite an interesting story.. He wasnt really sure about it at first. All i can say is once you take the first step and inject necessary amout of hardwork and determination into the system, everything is possible.

Everyone is so proud of him. I'm extremely proud coz i know he would do very well once he start his real life.

Who's got the best buddies around?

ME!

I am truly blessed to be surrounded with a whole bunch of super-wonderful people in my life. I must have been a saint in my past life to deserve all this. And i truly appreciate each off them in a very special way.

Kakiis is doing a competition on who's got the best buddies around. And you are required to put a picture of "A Moment With Your Kakiis’.

So, who is my "Kaki"? haha.... Well, I don't have to think much for this question. One person that has been truly my "Kaki" is my darlin Liena.

We've known each other for almost 8 years now. We laugh at the same thing, we love the same type of food, our vocab is about the same, we're both vain, we are each other's shrink (Ok, i'm much better in this) and we go crazy if we dont meet up every week.

Well, people like to say "picture speaks thousand words". I'm about to prove it.

Hard Rock Cafe Relaunched!

Saturday, 8th November 2008 -The date Kuala Lumpur's most famous and prominent personalities were treated with a VIP party in conjunction with the re-launch of HARD ROCK CAFE KUALA LUMPUR!!

It was a new era at Hard Rock Café Kuala Lumpur. The Cafe proudly re-opened its door with a new look, new vibe and a whole loads of new memorabilias (We're talking about Gwen Stefani's stage outfit, Jimi Hendrix’s silk jacket and Cheap Trick’s checkerboard guitar okay...)

It was truly a vibrant modern looking Hard Rock Cafe. I was just amazed when i took my first step. It was beyond ordinary!

The Guest of Honour for the evening was His Royal Highness (H.R.H.) Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, The Sultan of Selangor whom conducted the official inauguration with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the entrance of the café and thus unveiled the re-vamped space.

Invited guests were the first to preview and experience the all new Hard Rock Café! How cool is that?

It was an honour for me and my team to be the publicist for Hard Rock Cafe. I must say, i had so many people asking for free passes and sorry i had to dissapoint you guys. It's work.

The RM3million refurbishment to the exterior and interior, complete with a new dining experience and stage area has transformed it into an improved and rejuvenated setting! The most obvious change can be seen at the frontage of the café and reorientation of the stage (It's not at the centre anymore!). And of course, a superb sound and lighting system. Good place, good food, good music!

On that particular night, i had GREAT company as well. Most of my media friends was there and everyone had great fun.

Red Bull Appreciation Dinner

The Red Bull rookies did very well during Merdeka Millenium Endurance Race. They got 6th place (which is incredibly impressive).

Everyone is pleased with their performance (and also the success of the project). I am extremely proud with the girls. Honestly. I saw their progress and being there during the race was a wonderful experience (and i got myself into a big trouble over a bet!)

Anyway, Red Bull hosted an appreciation dinner for the partners & sponsors. Everone worked really hard and deserves a party!

Aidilfitri Potluck

Aidilfirti is coming to an end and i have not had the chance for a proper celebration with my extended family.

This year has been pretty weird. The celebration is a month long but i haven't seen any of my friends sice Fedo's birthday.

I did what i had to do. SMS blast and calls. Unlike previous years (where we had open house @ my place... eveyone in their traditional outfit) we went ahead with the most simple plan. Potluck. Since it's a working day, no dresscode. Just food and hang out.

The plan was made less then 24hrs but suprisingly, no bad turn-up! And it was a good party.
