Little Things

I'm sure many find the term “It's the little things that make the difference” overrated. I used to think of it the same way.

I don’t look at it the same way anymore. Little things make significant difference. And this can be applied to every aspect of life; let it be on a personal level or professional.

With work, we often find the x-factor. When we plan for an event as an example, we always look for something extraordinary, something that has never been done before. Through my experience (of organising and attending events), the success of one project relies on the little things.

Why? It’s simple. Those little things place a great deal of impact.

My friends threw a surprise party for my birthday. It was special as it shows how much they cared for me. But honestly, I was not surprised because (i'm just too smart lol) everyone does it. That’s what friends are for anyway.

What made it really special were the details; foods were all my favourite stuff. They may not like it, but its there. And that has a great deal to me.

I’m glad to have eyes that notice all these little details and a brain to register the effort they put in. I just hope I will always stay this way.

Lets appreciate the little things people! It takes a lot of effort that are not visible.

p/s: and of course I appreciate the iPhone 3GS they gave me later on ;)

Twenty Nine

Its been 29 years since 1981. But I have been told I still look like I'm about 23.

Being 29 has big difference. It might not be physically noticable, but we do a lot of growing in all those years. Well, most of us do, anyway.

The past 9 years time has been nothing but continuous change for me. I went from zero responsibility to a great extent. Uni ended, start working, paying bills and things just kept on growing. One after another.

I have come to realise that this is period when other people really start expecting things from us. People may have a pre-set impression of the type of person you are, and what you are suppose to be, and which direction should you head. And they often choose to believe their perspective is the most ideal.

I am not going to argue with that. It’s normal. We all have opinions. I believe that one should just find a diplomatic way to address your position.

A friend asked if I feel old being 29. Well, obviously I do I feel a lot older now than I did at 20, but I sure as heck know a lot more. The things I went through made me what I am today. Of course alot of the things I did along the way wouldn't even cross my mind as acceptable actions today.

Nevertheless, no matter what age we reach, we never stop learning and making mistakes. We just learn from it, and move on!

aziz - the first guy, and one of the first people that i'm close to when i'm in UiTM. people might see him as weird or trying to be 'weird'. but for me, its just who he is, and somehow u'll understand when you get to know him (believe me aziz, where i am now, i do understand all the shit stuff you did).

i've been thru alot with him, and he knows practically everything about me. he's always there for me when i needed someone, and always makes me laugh and comfort me when i'm weary. thanx
aziz for the beautiful memories that u adorned in my life. i wish i could see it ealier that what i thought and what i believe was too 'black-or-white'. i never see things in between it. sometimes i do regret what had happen but at least, i learn alot from each mistakes.

aziz, no matter what happen, i still see you as the lad who is always confident of what he says or what he does and the lad will always be one of my best buds i ever had in my life. thanks alot aziz. i love you

She passed away in London. I didnt get to say goodbye. To be completely honest, I was quite glad not to be able to go to the funeral.

I still have her mobile number in my phone. And i still have the feeling that one day my phone would ring and her name would appear.

I have few important things to tell. I still owe her an explaination, and an apology.

Lion Dance

It was a nice and peaceful weekend. And after a very long time, i had the chance to just chill at home.

It was about 4-ish and my bed was looking extraordinary comfy that time. As i was about to doze off, i heard a very loud and way too fimiliar sound. Chinese New Year celebration is still on and one of the common thing is the lion dance visiting houses/shops.

I used to follow the lion when I was a kid. It was great fun as the dance is always full of action and humor. So i went down to check it out.

They were quite cool! They even carve the oranges into some nice shape.

And this boy was so semangat to do his part

And then i realised, they were a bunch of boys (under 15 years?) and it was a mixture of Chinese & Indian boys. And they all speak in Bahasa Malaysia.

It was really entertaining and interesting.
