Royal Mosque, Pakistan

Badshahi Masjid or the Royal Mosque is one of the famous landmark in Lahore city. I fell in love with it from the moment I first saw it. The mosque was summoned by Emperor Aurangzeb and it was built overlooking the Lahore Fort. Just like the other magnificent buildings built by the Mughals, this mosque has an elaborate geometrical patterns as well as intricate floral patterns sculpted on the wall. It was mesmerising and I was in awe. I told my friend, I was born in the wrong era. I should be hanging out with the Mughals, where everthing is larger than life. But then... they don’t have Instagram 😝
