Guilin :: 2 Rivers 4 Lakes
Guilin is richly endowed with water. I was told the water there are the cleenest in China.
Two Rivers and Four Lakes Scenic Area is a water system located in Guilin's downtown area that should not be missed. It is a peaceful oasis in the middle of bustling Guilin.
As the name suggests it consists of two rivers and four lakes. The two rivers are the Li and Taohua Rivers. The three of the four lakes are named after trees that grow along their banks and the fourth is named after a cave located nearby. The four lakes are the Rong (banyan tree) Lake, Shan (Chinese fir) Lake, Gui (Osmanthus tree) Lake, and the Mulong (Wooden dragon) Lake. The Mulonghu Lake is named after the Mulong Cave which overlooks the lake.
Must visit!
~Cheers!
Guilin :: Land Of Osmanthus Trees
Guilin is a prefectural level city in China, located in the northeastern section of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on the west bank of the Li River. Guilin stands for “forest of Sweet Osmanthus”, representing the number of fragrant sweet Osmanthus trees located in the city. The city is known for its unique scenery.
Guilin is a scenic town, one of the best tourist spots in China with many different places to visit.
~Cheers
