MJ

Another day has gone
I'm still all alone
How could this be
You're not here with me
You never said goodbye
Someone tell me why
Did you have to go
And leave my world so cold

Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

But you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
But you are not alone

'Lone, 'lone
Why, 'lone

Just the other night
I thought I heard you cry
Asking me to come
And hold you in my arms
I can hear your prayers
Your burdens I will bear
But first I need your hand
Then forever can begin

Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

For you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
For you are not alone

Whisper three words and I'll come runnin'
And girl you know that I'll be there
I'll be there

You are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay
For you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart

For you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

For you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart

For you are not alone...

This is arguably the best song ever sung by him.

Things that keep me excited

Yesterday, we organised a media roundtable for one of our new client. It was a small do but the session was very newsworthy..

Dealing with business media always excites me. All the facts, numbers, figures keeps you sharp. One must always be ready with every little details and as for the spokesperson, a comphrehensive media training is crucial!

It was nice to catch-up with journalists whom i can call friends as well :)

How was the result?

And last week, my colleague arranged an interview with the same client. And below is the clipping
Cover of "City & Country" -The Edge

The story was very interesting, hence it was featured on 3 pages

These are some of the things that really keep me excited. Look forward to more of this soon. Alhamdulillah, things are looking good.

Cyst

It was exactly 2 weeks before my sister’s wedding. I was travelling and as I checked-in and got ready to go out, my friend noticed a huge lump on my neck. I almost had a heart attack when I look at the mirror.

It was huge and I have never seen it before. It was not painful; I didn’t feel anything until I know its there.

So, I went to a clinic near my house. The doctor was a nice and friendly person. But when I told her about the lump, she only thing she said was “It’s a thyroid”.

And asked me how long I have had it. I kept telling her it was never there but according to her, “it’s impossible for it to just appear that big. You must have have had it for a long time but didn’t notice it”.

I told her that I am extremely sure I don’t have any lump near my neck until that day. But this nice Doctor seems very confident and explained the situation with thyroid. Later, she suggested a blood test and I didn’t waste any time.

The following day I went to get the result.

Me: Hi Doc

Doctor: Hi Aziz… I am very happy to inform you that your result came out good.

Me: You just made my day!

Doctor: *explain all the figures* so, from here, I can conclude that yours is called “Eu Thyroid”

Me: What does that mean?

Doctor: It’s inactive and harmless. You may remove it for cosmetic purpose. But its ok if you don’t want to.

Me: Are you saying it’s gonna be like that forever?

Doctor: Yes

Me: *WTF*

She prescribed some antibiotics and painkiller. I was just confused.

My friends suggested for a second opinion and I agreed. But I was just too busy with work and preparation for my sister’s wedding. So I just delay…

Until one evening, 2 days before my trip to hometown. It was so painful I wanted to cry. I had no choice but to go to a specialist. And Ampang Puteri being the nearest to my house made it easy.

The Doctor prescribed a painkiller and arranged an ultrasound and appointment with the specialist the next morning.

I did the ultrasound at 9.00am and went to see the Doctor at 10.45. The name was Dr Sakinah and she was friendly.

Dr Sakinah

She told me it’s a cyst (like a water bag formed in between of your skin & organ) And said:

Doctor Sakinah: im going to put a needle into it and remove the liquid

Me: ok…. When can we do this?

Doctor Sakinah: Now.

Me: huh? Ok… but I will be taking a flight to Alor Setar tomorrow. Is it ok?

Doctor Sakinah: Don’t worry. It’s a simple procedure. You can do whatever you want

Me: Ok.

She asked me to relax, stay put and try not to swallow. I tried my best.. but honestly it was difficult. Imagine having a needle stuck on your neck.

Doctor Sakinah: “It’s blood”

Me: *Blink*

Doctor Sakinah: “this tube is full… im going to leave the needle on you and replace another tube”

Me: *Blink*

Doctor Sakinah: Ok, very good… it’s done.. (as she remove the needle)

That was when my head start spinning. It was like the entire world is moving. I remember saying “Doctor, I feel dizzy”. And that’s it. I don’t remember what happen next.

The next thing I know was the doctor waking me up asking if I was ok. My whole body was sweating.

Doctor Sakinah: Are you ok? Were you nervous?

Me: aah… maybe

Doctor Sakinah: Ok, just relax…. Don’t worry. Just close your eyes and sleep

“Nurse, get him a hot milo”

She woke me up after a while and told me to drink the milo and relax for an hour (she knew I drove)

Doctor Sakinah: Here is the blood. Do you want to keep it?

Me: NO! Why?

Doctor Sakinah: Some people like to keep it.

Me: That’s weird… ok, by the way, What is the cause for this? Issit lack of some vitamins or anything?

Doctor Sakinah: No. the reason is unknown but most likely is genetic.

Me: is there anything I should take to prevent it?

Doctor Sakinah: No. Don’t worry. If it grow again, come and see me and ill remove it again. Take some chewing gum with you in your flight tomorrow.

Me: Ok. Thank you.

Doctor Sakinah: Now you go home and rest. Ok?

Me: Allright.

Doctor Sakinah: Rest properly!

Me: Ok..

She prescribed some meds and I went home to rest. Half an hour later, I had an appointment with Zaff and then 2 more appointments. At the same time, I was on the phone with my family to sort out stuff..

Can u see it?

The human body occasionally creates structures and substances which serve no discernible purpose. Such is the case with a membrane-covered growth called a cyst. A cyst is generally formed on the surface of an organ or in the empty spaces between muscle and skin tissues. Generally speaking, most cysts are harmless (benign) and self-contained, filled with air, infected fluids or semi-solid substances such as sebum.

A cyst may be caused by a defect during fetal development, an infection or some unknown reason. Many people may notice small, hard lumps under their forearms or wrists, for example. These lumps are actually a form of cyst called a sebaceous cyst. A lump in the wrist may be a ganglion cyst. Some people develop a cyst on their vocal cords. It is not unusual to discover a cyst under one's scalp or face.

While a cyst may not be harmful or cancerous, it can be extremely painful.
